On March 7, 2026, in Rome, the inaugural event of the Center for the Study of Luigi Giussani was held.
The event began with opening remarks by the president of the Fraternity of Communion and Liberation, Prof. Davide Prosperi, followed by remarks from Prof. Giovanni Maddalena, the project coordinator, and Prof. Martino Feyles, the director of the Center.
The two keynote speakers then took the floor: Prof. Tracey Rowland, with her paper The Temptation of 1968 and Beyond,” and Prof. Michael Waldstein, with Encountering Jesus and Staying with Him.
In the afternoon, following a discussion with the audience, the Library of the Center was officially inaugurated.
The day concluded with a Mass in memory of Fr. Luigi Giussani, celebrated by His Eminence Cardinal James Michael Harvey in the Papal Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls.
